The Spiral of Life

The Spiral of Life is one of humanity's oldest symbols—carved into stone at the Megalithic Passage Tomb of Newgrange, Ireland, over five thousand years ago. Across cultures and centuries, the spiral has symbolized growth, transformation, and the continuous unfolding of life.

Scent plays a unique role in that journey. A fragrance can instantly evoke memories and emotions, bringing us back to meaningful moments in our lives. It can also be used intentionally to call forth qualities we desire. In this way, scent becomes part of our personal story, connecting us to both our experiences and our intentions.

At Sol Aromatics, the Spiral of Life is the lens through which I approach my work. I believe growth is rarely linear. We revisit familiar places within ourselves, each time with new understanding, deeper insight, and greater capacity for change. The spiral reminds us that growth is an ongoing journey, one that deepens with experience, reflection, and time.

Scent can help us feel grounded, inspired, joyful, calm, or connected before we've even had a chance to think about why. It is a powerful tool for creativity, self-expression, and well-being, one I return to again and again in my work.
